Important legal and privacy information
Operator and unofficial status
Taiwan Disaster Guide is an independently operated unofficial information site. It is not affiliated with, commissioned, certified or endorsed by public bodies. Effective 6 September 2026; last updated 2026-10-04.
Service scope
The site provides free routes to official information, area filters, checklists and translation assistance. It is not a public authority, news service or emergency channel and does not issue alerts, evacuation orders, closure decisions, medical advice or personal safety decisions.
Emergency use
If life or health is at risk, do not wait for an update. Follow 110, 119, public warnings, sirens, broadcasts, authorities and responders. Zero results, no data, unavailable or delayed does not declare safety.
Official data and updates
Official issue time, retrieval time and expiry differ. Corrections, outages, specification changes, network failures and stopped synchronization may cause delay, duplication, omission or older information. Site history is not a complete government archive.
Translations
Japanese and English are supporting displays, not official full or legal translations. This site does not reissue official warnings. If a difference exists, follow the official Traditional Chinese source and local authorities.
Maps, shelters and forecasts
Maps are schematic and must not be used for surveying, geolocation or route guidance. A designated shelter may not be open. Forecasts, cyclone tracks and alerts contain delay, regional variation and uncertainty. Recheck official sources before acting.
Rights and public data
Original site materials belong to the operator or relevant rights holder. Lawful quotation and statutory uses remain available. Public data, names, marks and external materials remain subject to provider terms; open-data permission does not normally grant trademark or endorsement rights.
Prohibited conduct
Illegal or infringing use, unauthorized access, vulnerability exploitation, excessive automated requests, disruption, malware, false official status, alert alteration, impersonation, ad fraud and dangerous republication of misleading emergency information are prohibited.
External sites and ads
Destination terms and privacy policies apply. Future ads will be identifiable and will not imply endorsement by this site or a public body. Emergency information takes priority over advertising.
Warranty and liability
Completeness, accuracy, immediacy, availability and fitness are not guaranteed. This does not exclude liability for intent, gross negligence, death or personal injury, or liability that applicable law does not permit to be excluded.
Changes and suspension
The service may change or stop for maintenance, security, disasters, provider changes, network failure or another reasonable cause. Material term changes will be announced before taking effect.
Contact
Errors and suggestions may be submitted through Google Forms. A reply, publication, correction or completion date is not guaranteed. Do not submit confidential, unlawful, infringing or third-party personal information. It is not an emergency channel.
Law, jurisdiction and language
The Japanese version controls interpretation to the extent permitted by law. Governing law and jurisdiction follow the laws and procedures actually applicable to the individual operator and user. Mandatory consumer protections and legally available access to courts are not excluded. The operator is identified as the individual operator of Taiwan Disaster Guide and the Google Form is the contact channel.
Severability
If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remainder continues to the extent permitted by law.
